Town in Alberta Canada Calls Kevin Bacon to the Rescue on KickStarter

Oh Canada! The small town of Taber, Alberta is calling Kenny Loggins, A.K.A. Kevin Bacon to the rescue. In the 80’s classic “Footloose” and its more contemporary reboot, a law bans the playing of loud music, specifically rock and roll. Long story short, Kevin Bacon’s character comes to the rescue and saves the town from this conservative backwards way of thinking.

The law in Taber apparently establishes a curfew and bans teens from gathering in groups of 4 or more. These regulations are affectionately being called “The Footloose-Law.” In response to this law being passed by a contingent of crotchety old men, a group from the town has started a kickstarter campaign that is calling on Kevin Bacon to save the day. For the sake of the Internet I hope he accepts this call to action. Nothing like a good ol’ fashion dance protest!
