Top 10 Spring 2015 Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand Releases

Springtime is upon us, which means its time to put those snow boots back in the closet where they belong. Check out our list below to sift through some of the newest “Feet Heat” that will be hitting urban footwear retailers this spring.


“Gold Medal” Foamposite One – March 14th – $230

The Foamposite One returns with a much anticipated all Gold colorway, which in part honors the Dream Team’s consistent excellence in the Men’s Basketball Olympic competitions over the years.


 “What If?” LeBron 12 – March 14th – $200

This eye-catching Lebron 12 release poses a hypothetical question every sports fan in America has asked at least once: “What if Lebron James had pursued a career in football instead of hoops?” This sneaker’s colorway is an ode to King James’ well known admiration for the Dallas Cowboys.


“Duke/ Brotherhood” Kyrie 1  – March 21 – $110

As one of the brightest young stars in the NBA, “Uncle Drew” has finally been granted his signature shoe in 2015 and this particular release is a nod to Irving’s alma mater. Go Blue Devils!


“Double Nickel” Jordan X – March 28th – $190

“White/Silver” Jordan V – April 4 – $200

As the first pair of the Jordan 5 lineup slated to drop in 2015, this “White-on-White” colorway promises to be another summertime favorite.


“Red October” Foamposite Pros – April 15 – $240

The team at Nike is not one to shy away from subliminals, and this “All-Red” Foamposite Pro with a reptilian pattern on the eyelet panel has many sneakerheads pointing to the final iconic release from Kanye West’s partnership with the Swoosh.


“Hare” Jordan VII – May 16th – $190

With 2015’s second “Looney Tunes Collection” release, Jordan Brand will be retro’ing one of the all time classic Air Jordan release with the “Hare” 7s, which get their name from the legendary 1992 commercial featuring MJ and Bugs Bunny. (Now, what about the retro Space Jam 11s??? …….)


“Charlotte Hornets” Jordan V – May 2 – $200

With his vast wealth (much of it derived from our love from these sneakers), Michael Jordan made history in 2010 with his purchase of the Charlotte Bobcats, becoming the first former professional athlete to own a major sports franchise. He has since rightfully re-christened the franchise as the Charlotte Hornets, and this colorway celebrates this achievement.


“OG Chicago” Retro Hi Top 1 – May 30th – $160

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan, Jordan Brand is commemorating their proud history with this classic retro. Staying true to the OG sneaker, the red Nike Air tag has been restored on the tongue to, which should make the purists happy. A Must-Cop for any true OG sneakerheads in the game.
