Ecstasy, Crystal Meth and Ketamine Becomes Legal for a Day in Ireland
On Tuesday, the Irish Court of Appeal deemed Ireland’s 1977 Misuse of Drugs Act to be unconstitutional. As a result, all of the drugs in the act became legal. That means ecstasy, benzodiazopenes and every new psychoactive drug you can think of is currently legal. For our readers abroad or living in Ireland, before you run amuck and find yourself in a k-hole of no escape, read this: cannabis, heroin and cocaine are not affected by the decision. Sale, supply and import laws also still stand. So if you’re trying to cop, discretion is still necessary, for the sake of your dealer. The drugs listed in the act will be legal until 12am on Thursday at the earliest. So, what would you be doing if you were in Ireland right now?
Probably this….
